Things Happen

Last week Dave and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary by spending the night in Indy. We did have a nice time and dinner was excellent! Our plans were to spend Friday having a leisurely day and then returning home that evening. Boy, did those plan change! My parents had stayed at our house so they could take care of Ciara. On Friday morning, mom had taken Ciara to preschool and was on her way back to our house. She didn't see the stop sign and the bus coming from the other road didn't see her.(corn field). Needless to say, the bus hit mom and they both went flying down the road each into a different field. The driver of the bus over-corrected and the bus went on it's side. She was fine and no children were on the bus. Mom was hurt. She ended up with two broken ribs, many bruises and a broken foot/ankle. She's had two surgeries and is now home. I'm so thankful that she is still with us; it could have been so much worse! I'm so thankful that I have a loving God that helps us through times like this. Please keep my mom in your prayers; we would greatly appreciate it!
