Windy Day

The weather seems to be a bit mixed up around here. Last week we had snow and this week rain and strong winds. Did I say strong winds? Change that to very, very strong winds. Out here on the prairie, we get more wind than in town. I didn't realize how strong the wind was that evening. Ciara and I were eating dinner and I heard and felt the rain and wind hit the house. I got up and shut the windows on the west side and finished dinner. About a half hour later, I happened to glance out the window and saw that Ciara's swing set was on the ground. This is one of those wooden ones with the tower and it was staked down to the ground. I couldn't believe it! After all that hard work in getting it put together (not to mention the cost)and now it's broken. Ciara saw it and just like a child she said, " Oh....it's broken. We have to fix it". Ciara thinks her daddy can fix anything! I'm sure he'll be out there come Spring, fixing the swing set.
